Modular robot kit · Ships December 2026

One stack.
Every robot.

Programmable biped, wheeled, quadruped and arm robots for developers, on the same actuators and open SDK. Legged and wheeled builds carry an NVIDIA Jetson GPU computer on board. Buy one, or combine them.

Six parts
to swap.

01 — Take it apart

Every joint is the same module.

Unbolt the legs with a hex key. Every actuator is field-replaceable, with no soldering.

02 — Rebuild

Keyed connectors, symmetric joints.

Replug the CAN bus, add two actuators, and fit the gripper. Nothing to re-wire.

03 — New robot

Now it’s a 7-DoF arm.

Same actuators, same controller, same host software. Flash the arm firmware branch and start training.

Bundles · early-bird pricing

More robots.
One kit.

Every bundle is one actuator set plus conversion kits. Build one robot, then rebuild it as the next with a hex key.

What each build
can do.

Five robots, one actuator set. Leap, climb, map, cook and sort, each from the same modules.

    The platform

    Reusable. Repairable.
    Open.

Most robot kits become paperweights the day a servo dies. Lucen is designed the other way round.

    FAQ

    Before you
    pre-order.

    When will my robot ship?

Orders ship in December 2026. If we can’t make that window, we’ll tell you before it ends with a new date, and you can cancel for a full refund. The details are in our pre-order terms.

Should I pay a deposit or the full price?

Either. A $399 deposit per kit reserves your build at today’s price, and we invoice the balance with shipping, tax and duties before dispatch. Paying in full now works the same way, with only shipping, tax and duties invoiced later.

    Can I get a refund?

Yes. Everything you’ve paid, deposit or full price, is fully refundable any time before your robot ships. Email contact@lucenrobotics.com with your order number. See the refund policy.

    Where do you ship?

US orders ship from our US warehouse. Orders to China and international destinations, including Europe, Canada, Japan, Korea and Australia, ship from our warehouse in China, with import duties quoted up front. Not on the list at checkout? Email us.

    Which builds include compute?

Every build except the single Arm and the Arm Station includes an NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano Super 8GB. Those two run from your own computer. Every arm comes with an RGB wrist camera: one on the Arm, two on the Arm Station, the Open Arm and bundles with two arms, and the Arm Station adds a top camera over its bench. Other builds ship without a camera, and the Quadruped ships without LiDAR or a depth camera. You can add wrist cameras ($99) or a depth camera ($549) at checkout.

    Which actuators does Lucen use?

Quasi-direct-drive actuators on a CAN bus, with torque control at every joint. Our own in-house actuator is in development for the next generation of Lucen builds.

Can my university pay by purchase order?

Email contact@lucenrobotics.com with your institution and the builds you need, and we’ll send a formal quote.

    Is the software open source?

Yes. Firmware, SDK, teleop tools and training notebooks are on GitHub under the MIT license. No account required.
